Hmm... well, just recently I decided to try and take out the full grown rancer without using using the synthesized oder. Actuall, ity wasn't too difficult, as I was able to pelt it with grenades and then flee through the doorway that was too small for the rancer to go through. The rancer would then run back to the far end of the room, so I'd come out and throw more grenades, then flee back through the doorway again. Soon, the rancer fell to my might.

hardest part for me first time through the game was the endless wave of dark jedi and sith apprentices on the star forge. and like other people have said, made even more difficult when one or more of my party would decide to go running off and "trigger" more enemies while i was still trying to kill the current ones.
