Grounded 2: Survive the Rot and Ruin Update

Brookhollow Park is getting a little more rotten. The Rot and Ruin Update expands Grounded 2 with a new area to explore, dangerous creatures to face, another Buggy to saddle up on, and new ways to customize both your gear and your home away from home.

Explore the Woodpile

A new adventure awaits in the Woodpile, where towering structures and winding passages have become home to a familiar threat. Termites are back, including Workers, Soldiers, the mighty Termite King, and new O.G.R.R. variants. But these aren't exactly the Termites you remember. Keep an eye out for new attacks and some particularly strange behavior as you make your way deeper into their territory.

And Termites aren't the biggest thing lurking among the rot. One of the community's most requested creatures is finally crawling into the Park. Prepare to face the Centipede, a formidable new boss with plenty of legs and even more reasons to run.

Saddle Up on the Potato Beetle

Need some backup? The Potato Beetle Buggy is ready to roll. Bigger than the Ladybug Buggy and built for close-range combat, this Potato Beetle Buggy can unleash a spread of projectiles against creatures in front of it and use its Healing Roar to help keep you in the fight. It can also haul resources and contribute materials to blueprints while you're out building across the Park.

Paint the Park

Your base, your colors. Painting gives builders a new way to personalize their creations by crafting paint and putting it to use with a new paintball gun we are calling the Splotcher. Walls, floors, roofs, stairs, doors, and other structures can take on a fresh coat of color, giving you even more ways to make your corner of Brookhollow Park your own.

Take Your Gear Further

The Fall Update also introduces a new way to keep your favorite equipment growing alongside you. Weapons and armor can be upgraded to higher Tiers using Bismuth, a new resource connected to the strange forces of Raw Science beneath the Park. Gather it, refine it, and put it to work at the new Yoking Press to make your equipment even stronger.

And there's still more to discover, including new SCA.B Themes, collectible miniatures, new stations, and more when Rot and Ruin arrives in Grounded 2 this fall.

Grounded 2 (XBOX Game Preview) is available now for XBOX Series X|S, XBOX on PC, and Game Pass. Also available on Steam through Early Access and PlayStation 5. Version 1.0 will arrive in 2027.

• Fixed buggies not responding to commands near the nest after leaving it.

• Fixed buggies immediately returning to the player after being sent to their nest from the summoning menu.

Crafting

• Reduced Splinter Cannon ammo costs. Splinter Shot now costs 2 Spew Spores and 3 Wood Splinters. The candy shots now cost 1 Candy Shard instead of 2.

• The Thoughtful Gift recipe now uses a Centipede Leg instead of a Centipede Antenna.

Quests

• Fixed Bring a Hose to Water, Power to the Garden, and Sowing Wild Limes being blocked on some saves.

• Fixed the misting system having no interaction prompt on some saves, which blocked progression.

World

• Fixed invisible collision in some doorframes preventing players from walking through.

• Fixed the microphone missing part of its collision.

UI

• Fixed the Termite Worker Gold card using the same icon as the default card.

Localization

• Imported the 0.6 localization for all supported languages.

• Fixed the “Finally Made It Out” Ominent document data not being translated.

Stability
