Hiding quest markers waypoint by using the same toggle for hiding Trail/Backpack/Build Markers

Featured Replies

I am working on a really big randomizer playground for Grounded where grabbing data items, finding milk molars, killing specific bugs, and going to landmarks get you new equipment and mutations. But I have been having a slight issue with the trail markers vs quest markers; both aren't exactly what I want, and just changing a few small things to make them more similar would make my life so much easier. I am trying to use either of them like a map tracker like other games will have for their randomizers to help players keep track of what they have and haven't done, and I have over 500 checks for this randomizer so it's a lot to keep track of. I was originally using trail markers because you can display the name on the map to help players know what I am talking about. Quest markers always show up as the symbol that is chosen, like death or Omminent. Even when they have the name filled in you can see it when looking at it when running around but not from the map. but when connecting something to the trail marker in Playground mode, like a burgle flag or a bug death, and setting it to either hide or toggle visibility, the trail marker goes away the marker on the map does not and you can't trigger it's visability either without the player manually doing it. The big one though is even if I am turning on a single area of markers on at a time the way point from the quest marker is always visable and there is nothing to change it which could get overwhelming to the player please if as a player I triggered the toggle for hiding Trail/Backpack/Build Markers please make hide quest markers as well, the smallest area is 36 locations and the biggest is 92 it's way too much to look at. This is with only some of the trail markers activated but you can see how it can get to be too much.20260820222019_1.jpg
