Not working as intended - Fuzzy armor sleek upgrade

Items affected: Fuzzy Hat, Fuzzy Parka, Fuzzy Mukluks

Upgrading the fuzzy armor going the "sleek" path will add an effect called Effort or Exertion (playing a non English version of the game so I could not find out the proper english term used).
In game description states that kills will reduce chill buildup - which would logically be in line becauses exercising will warm up the body.

This effect is currently not showing any change in game. Tested in Ice cream cart area with scorpions, larvae and ladybugs. Kills have 0 effect on the chill buildup bar.
The set buff is actually showing up in the character buffs menu.

This might as well be an issue with translation - please check.
