New candy weapon idea

Featured Replies

Been enjoying what the game has to offer especially the new candy wizard armors, and trinkets its opened up the possibilities of the "whittle wizard" or mage class quite a bit and I am excited for the future

However I noticed that while fighting a few of the newer foes the charged attack of the staff does break the enemies guard but does not explode into a puddle of goo everytime and then the bug I am fighting just goes back and guards some more, the weapon is too slow to act on the brief window I am given to hit to bug and do damage, either the bug in question would have to be stunned after I break the guard or the puddle would have to be guaranteed no matter how high the bug is to make the staff more useful

I had an idea to add a single handed type of magic weapon in response to my failings and thought I would share it, this way you could have another type of weapon that uses the shields and it would be a quicker and lower damage magic weapon, these "candy wands" could be all about single target rather then wide aoe attacks, for example the charged attack could fire a candy beam that does 3 or 4 hits of damage that way even if the bug guards the beam will still hit them

I hope you accept as I would love to see what kind of funky designs you pull off with "candy wands"
