Hello all,

First of all i like to thank everyone who helped me on my POE1 Cipher Gun build a while ago. I even took it further and with some Companion builds from the Forum managed to even beat PotD on my second full run. Thanks to the Awesome advice from this forum - big thanks for that !

Now i want to put my mind and time that i have to POE2 - i never played much tbh. Dropped it after release and played about 20hrs of it.

I love Guns in Pillars i find any type cool and would love some suggestions on somewhat Beginner friendly builds. I started a quick Idea this morning using this. Tbh i dont know how much resolve / con is needed for harder difficulties.

I play Real Time with Pause. Classic/Veteran (hope to crank it up) with Scaling only Upwards.

In my mind i wanna be this oppurtunistic Rogue/Pirate that doesnt care for the "right" way this time and just wants to make some fat stacks of money and accumulate as much Power as possible. Ranger doesnt fit to that but it seems to work at least in the first 6 levels. Im currently trying Arquebus which seems to work kinda nice with the Modal thing. But I probably need another damage type as backup

Assassin/Scout with a bear - Dissident

Stealth, Mechanics, Bluff - Elf / Old Vailia

Might 16

Con 8

Dex 17 + 1

Per 16+ 1

Int 16 + 1

Resolve 3

Hi,

your Scout should work well. As backup weapon you can take a bow at first and then use one of Serafen's mortar blunderbusses or Eccea's Arcane Blaster.

If you'd want more sustained damage potential instead of a few high accuracy hits from stealth/invisibility you could swap Assassin with Streetfighter and mainly use dual blunderbusses (AoE and regular) with the Powder Burns modal. This added cone damage also distracts you - but this unlocks the Streetfighter's passive which leads to -50% recovery/reloading times and +50% Sneak Attack damage which leads to pretty crazy DPS output.

Thank you very much ill try the Streetfighter version - By the way is see the Deadfire Community Patch in your Post at the end is it recommended to take the Basic version ? Or do that for a second run ?

You can use the Community Patch (Basic or all of it) right away. The changes it makes are reasonable, unobstrusive and improve the gameplay and balance.

Also I nowadays would hate to level up without the unique icons for passive abilities from the CP - because I 'd have to mouseover every passive ability to check which one it actually is. Some few standard icons get reused for a lot in the vanilla game which is a bit annoying imo.

I would also highly recommend the Enhanced UI mod (by Spherical), I wouldn't want to play the game without it. It just adds some additional UI bits for more info and tooltips which is really useful without messing with the game mechanics at all.
