Currently, tapping a gamepad button disables the mouse from controlling the camera. Basically, you can play with a keyboard and mouse or with a gamepad, but not both.

Blocking one input when the other is in use causes issues for users:

Steam deck/couch gamer crowd that use flick stick/gyro when playing. 

-and- 

Disabled folks that use work arounds to enjoy games; like one handed controls where gyro to mouse support supplements aim.

 

Please consider fixing the bug so simultaneous/mixed input works like it does in your other games (Grounded and Avowed to think of two). If you could add a toggle to set the default ui/button prompts to gamepad, that’d be the icing on the cake.
