Egg Storage building non-functional

With the Egg Storage building already completed, and holding 2 new red ant eggs in my backpack (not buggie), the option to deposit or use egg storage are greyed out. I have not placed any eggs in the egg storage building.

The Egg Storage is for Soldier ant & Orb Weaver eggs.
The ones you can hatch into buggy's

The white ones are the wrong eggs.. they are brown (the fighter ants)

The eggs I had in my backpack were for bratburst (worker red ant).
