July 31, 2025Jul 31 From what I can tell I can no longer enter a screen which loads the save files, as it’ll crash to Home Screen. I can still load up the game, start a new game, and even auto-save, but when it makes any attempt at viewing the save files it always crashes. I’ve attempted deleting locals saves and resyncing, reinstalling, restarting console, and well over 20 attempts just launching and trying to load anything still to no avail. I’m hosting a shared save, and have few solo saves, of which I would really not like to lose the shared save for. Currently I can’t even play anything other than a solo no save run until it crashes 1-2 hours in.
July 31, 2025Jul 31 Same thing happened to me I think it was because I opened another app while the game was running and when it quick resumed my game crashed and now I can't load my shared world save file
July 31, 2025Jul 31 Game crashes when trying to load multiplayer you don't event get to see saves to select it just closes and goes back to Xbox main menu Xbox S series Accessing game via game pass Cleared cachets Removed and reinstalled profile also tried to load in as different profile still won't work Uninstalled and reinstalled game Reset Xbox power etc Multiplayer game No previous issues 1 day old game play Internet all good Suggestions welcome

Can agree to this, have been trying to log in all morning, about 15 attempts and i finally gave up... can't get past the loading saves screen.
August 1, 2025Aug 1 Anyone find a work around for this? The game has had 2 updates now in the past 24 hours, was running smooth. I saved. Left. Then went to load my world and can't play anything, as it inst crashed when loading save files. Xbox series X

August 1, 2025Aug 1 Having similar issue. Can't play multiplayer all of a sudden. Was running fine until a few hours ago. Several crashes then after restarting xbox went back into game and couldnt play at all
August 1, 2025Aug 1 Ive just started experiencing this myself. Had a multilayer world and just turned a save into a "shared world" such that my friend can play when im not on. He loaded in once and said it was fine. Ive went to log in and whenever I view saves it kicks me to Xbox Home? (Xbox Series X) Edited August 1, 2025Aug 1 by z_pro94 More info

August 1, 2025Aug 1 Just had this now. Was playing then went to load a save file. While bringing up the save files it crashed. Now it won't show save files or start new game. It just crashes after selecting these options. The fix better not affect the save files I now it early but I've gathered so many resources I could build 3 bases. Please dev fix this issue.
August 1, 2025Aug 1 This might work. Has done for me. Start a new multiplayer world. Save it and then exit. Then continue your host world and hopefully it doesn't crash then choose your original world save.
August 1, 2025Aug 1 Hello everyone, came across this thread while seeing if anyone else was having the same issue as I was. I noticed this happening on both my Series X and my PC. The only way I have gotten it to work is by sitting in the menu for about 10-15 minutes before loading a save. I get all the way to the spot right before hitting "continue", and wait that period of time. For some reason, this seems to work. So i think whatever it is, is maybe that the game is loading or trying to connect to something on the back end, and when we try to load a save before its loaded fully, it crashes.
August 2, 2025Aug 2 Hey guys, I think I ran into the same issue where my shared world suddenly broke the game menu and could no longer 'Continue' my shared world game. With my Xbox Series X, I went into the game's 'Manage Game & Add-ons' option and cleared the reserved storage space only. I did not clear my user data. This seemed to restore functionality in the game menu. I do not know what consequences there could be from clearing the reserved data, so please do your due diligence before doing it as I'm not responsible for any data loss.
August 2, 2025Aug 2 Another update; I am not sure if the two are tied together, but I have since stopped having had this issue ever since limiting my frame rate to 120fps, and turning my FOV down to 110. (Both settings at the time of the error were 120 FOV and Unlimited frame rate.)
