Arcane Veil is ALWAYS mapped to my 4th hotbar slot if I have any points in the skill, regardless of what is actually mapped there or if I try to cast from a grimoire.

Featured Replies

Basically, IF I have a single ability point in the spell Arcane Veil, then when I press the 7 key, which is mapped to the 4th slot on my hotbar (normally the 4 key but I remapped it), I always cast Arcane Veil, regardless of if Arcane Veil is mapped to that slot or not. Further, even if I am holding a grimoire and right click, to cast from the grimoire instead of my normal hotbar, I will STILL cast Arcane Veil instead of whatever spell is supposed to be there. FURTHER, if Arcane Veil is the spell in the 4th grimoire slot, it will cast my known Arcane Veil WITHOUT the benefit of casting it from the grimoire (AKA at one level lower than it should be).

In other words, if I have spent points on Arcane Veil, I cannot use my 4th hotbar slot for any other skill AND I can only ever cast it at the level of my ability points and cannot benefit from the +1 level via casting it from a grimoire.

This ONLY happens with Arcane Veil and only if I have ability points spent into it.

It does not matter what is in my main hand. It does not matter if I reset my points. It does not matter if I remap that hotbar slot to any other ability. Nothing seems to fix this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
