Directional keys do not work after using radial menu - Ex

Ex.  Holding W right after closing radial does nothing for about one second before my character moves  /  Holding W when radial is open then closing the menu leaves my character standing in place until I hit W again.  The same problem applies to all directional keys (WASD). This occurs in and out of combat and any menu action triggers it (radial, inventory, map, etc)

 

While annoying, this bug is especially bad in path of the damned combat. I see it the most when an enemy is approaching me and I use the radial for Fire and Ire or Binding roots ability. Then after closing the menu I get killed by the mob because I can't move, or I jump in the air because the game doesnt register the movement keys when I try to dodge. Even knowing about this issue playing around it is extremely difficult in heat of the moment combat where I am constantly moving and dodging to avoid 1 shot attacks. 

 

Steps to reproduce:

Open radial menu > close radial menu, hold any directional key 

Notice character is locked in place for one second before moving

OR

Open radial menu > close radial menu, hold any directional key and attempt to dodge (space)

Notice character jumps in place instead of dodging

 

Can confirm and add another thing connected to it

When you get to move after this delay described above if you press strafe left or right while still holding W the character will stop moving forward. This got me killed more than once on the path of the damned because you think everything is fine -  the character is moving forward after closing the menu, but once you press strafe you stop moving

Works with any direction
1) Open radial menu
2) Start closing the radial menu
2) hold directional input while radial menu is closing
3) character starts moving after delay
4) while still holding that movement input press another movement input
5) originally held movement input stops registering and character moves only according to the second input

I've been having the exact same issue and it's driving me batty. The same issue was present in the Outer Worlds but it didn't seem as terrible but here it's nearly making the game unplayable. With the amount of times you need to access the radial during combat, especially with how little essence you have and the need to constantly take restoratives to keep up with the combat, I don't know if I can keep playing the game. I find it hard to believe that the developers aren't aware of this issue yet it doesn't appear in the known issues list and I see no acknowledgment whatsoever about a planned fix.

 

I will also add that if when closing the radial menu and quickly pressing a directional will cause the character to move at half speed until you let off the key and repress, adding any new directional, sprint, or jump will cause the character to stop moving.

Anyone find a fix for this?

I just got the game on Xbox game pass. And this big is still there. It's honestly game breaking cause I have to plan ahead FOR A BUG. I know I can never use the radial menu during combat so I have to run away to a safe location, issues commands, use consumables, then get back into the fight. Super clunky and makes me glad I didn't pay 70 dollars for this game. It would be a prefect game in my eyes if it were not for that huge utter oversight and lack of giving a damn to fix it. I'm disappointed. 

Can we get an update? This is still the most annoying thing in the game and I still keep dying from it. It's so game breaking.
