I killed Belderreno but he did not drop the bounty quest item. I tried searching with Marius but nothing appears. I also tried crouching and looking through the whole cave and see if it fell through the floor but nothing.

Any suggestions?

Having the same issue. Killed him before getting the quest and thought it was weird a named didn't drop anything.

That is exactly how I did it as well. I killed him before getting the quest.

I took the bounty before going and killing him and I also do not get the quest item drop. All he has is a primal rock in his inventory.

I also have the same issue. All he has dropped is a Primal Rock. But unlike the previous posts, I had the quest already beforehand

Just to add more to the pot: I arrived in the area without the quest in hand, and cleared out the lizard camp just south of the cave's entrance. Don't ever recall seeing a shade to follow into the cave then, but I didn't enter the cave at that time regardless.

Came back later with the bounty quest in hand, entered the cave (still never saw or knew of a shade to follow in), nothing ever spawned within. Stuck now, for my character, it's just an empty cave with a quest area marker, and nothing happening.

I saw the shade lead me into the cave without having the quest. Seems the bounty is just a mess of a bug. 

I had the bounty beforehand. Followed the shade into the cave. Killed Belderreno, as someone else observed, only a primal rock dropped.
I reloaded an autosave just after the fight (to see if reloading the area would help), still only a primal rock on Belderreno loot drop.
I reloaded before the cave encounter (before triggering the shade), fought again, this time it dropped.

I noticed it drop when I killed Belderreno (saw the red drop glow), but before I killed the smaller mobs/shard things he spawns on death. Looted it then and there before finishing the fight, don't know if that makes a difference or not...

I have done this no less than 10 times lol. Kill him, check his corpse before anything else dies. Always Primal Rock

I am stuck on this as well. Reloaded my save and each time, they was no "trophy" to collect. On my fourth try, autosaved nerfed by save file and I wasn't able to reload. So hopefully if this gets patched, they respawn Belderreno, or put the trophy in the cave.

Same problem, had the quest before killing him... makes me a sad panda!

This is the last quest I have left before moving on past the point of no return. I have the quest but if i kill him he doesn't drop the quest item just the primal rock. have tried this on early access then whatever the patch numbers have been on battle.net as they are a bit different but every patch I've tried it multiple times. even my oldest save file from before i get near there and into the city doesn't seem to load and then let me go into the city get the bounty and do it with a drop. 

Same issue here, I had the bounty quest tracked, went into the cave, killed everything, Belderreno did not drop a trophy. sort of glad that others are experiencing the same thing, with luck we will get this patched!

Further to the above post, I reloaded to a autosave before entering the cave , killed him the second time and he dropped the trophy. So it's definitely worth going back to a previous save if you still have it and keep on trying until it drops.

Same as above. Had bounty marker, killed everything. Belderreno only dropped primal rock. Marker still there, I still have to collect the trophy. Nothing in the cave. Reloaded, restarted game, gone from previous save. Nothing has worked. 🤔

Yeah same thing. Killed the bounty and nothing dropped. It's making my brain itch.

Same thing. I had the quest before killing him but didn't drop the item.

Still bugged after the 1.2.4 patch or 1.2.11 on battle.net I submitted a bug report with all the files asked for and such. it isn't listed on the acknowledged issues list that got posted so here is hoping eventually it gets added. there was another belderreno one on there. maybe can work on both together.

Same here - had the bounty...went to cave...killed Belderreno...no bounty drop.  Don't the dev QA their work?!  So...many...bugs...

Same issue for me, killed Belderreno before knowing about the bounty quest but cleared the cave. Went back after picking up the quest to look for a trophy and there's nothing other than a shield and coins I missed.

Try defeating it in a different part of the room. Item failed to drop twice by the entrance, but dropped in the back corner of the room, on my third attempt

I guess the more we report it the better. There were no issues when I did it with my first character, but now it won't drop the death proof.

It's possible that fixing or tweaking something in the game caused it to disappear.

Just chiming in as another individual with the same issue.  Tried restoring from an autosave just prior to the fight and went through the combat several times.  Primal Stone every time. First time through the game and I had the bounty quest and saw the shade prior to entering the cave.
