Bug regarding Ranger Verano

[Octopus-Pancake]

Defeated the Tranton gang, broke open the cage holding Ranger Verano and saw he offered a quest.  Tried talking to him and nothing.  He says some stuff but doesn't go into dialogue with my character so I can't pick up the quest.  He stays inside the cage too so I assume this is a bug.

I’ve just come across this same bug today. I did the bounty on n this area and now the ranger just mutters something about why it had to be this way but won’t start the quest. He doesn’t step out of the cage.

I am having the same issue. I have tried reloading from a previous save, leaving the area and doing something else then coming back. Devs need to fix this one for sure. Besides a couple crashes here and there, this is the only big bug I've encountered, besides the water bugs. lol

hey encountered this issue a few days ago, went on to thirdborn and then came back today and still wont trigger the quest, please help, i dont wanna leave them in that cage, it cant be good for their health

I too am having this bug and as a completionist when it comes to games this haunts me at night. I really hope they fix this soon. I’m loving the game so much!! But I need to finish this!

The Steel Resolve  is one of the missable side quest Missable Trigger: Automatically fails if you finish the entire Naku Tedek sequence during the main quest, Ancient Soil. This was the reason for me why i couldn't start the quest at ranger verano. I also missed Nature vs. Nurture and Elder Offerings. See below all the missable quests and triggers. That's a pitty, i wanted to finish them also, just for the fun of it (battle mainly). So i aske myself if i should return to an autosave before the trigger has been fired... A pitty I was not aware of this, should have given a warning somewhere, somehow... Obsidian? Hope everyone can understand the reason why Verano doesn't start the quest...
