EnDespair
Since I heard the 1.4 update was coming out on ps4, I was really exited to play with my girlfriend who only is on ps4. I am on steam on PC. However, now that it's out we haven't been able to because she doesn't show up on my friends list inside of Grounded. I have her added on xbox, I have linked my xbox to my steam, and she has turned on crossplay. All my other xbox friends show up in the list except for her. Is this part of the connectivity issues from the recent update? I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong or it is because of the bug. If anyone knows a potential fix to this issue that would be great, thanks.
cstanick
Hey EnDespair! I'm sorry that you and your girlfriend haven't been able to connect to play Grounded. Our team is currently investigating this issue where players aren't seeing each other in the lobby. I recommend starting the game and inviting her to join once it's started as other players have said it is a good workaround. If that doesn't work, please feel free to submit a support ticket, and we'll investigate it. Obsidian Support Thanks, and hopefully that will resolve the issue for now! Update: The issue appears to be fixed now. She showed up in my friends list, so we were able to play I'm guessing it has to do with a hotfix or something you guys put out. Thanks for fixing it and responding to my post
codychesterfield
I'm having this same issue. None of my crossplay friends actually appear on my list. Bought the game on switch for my wife and ps5 for myself. Highly regretting it because we still can't play together.
Baziga2004
Same here my friend plays on the PS5 and im on PC thru Steam he made a xbox account and we both friended each other I linked the xbox account to my steam he turned on cross-platform. He said he sees my name and add med me but I don’t see it, I can’t join his world. Its possible that if I could make a world without a password maybe he could join to my world but he has another friend without a xbox so idk
draven.pelkey
I have an Xbox and have been enjoying ground for a while with gamepass and recommended my friend on PS5 to get it when it released. Last night he set up an Xbox account in the app on his phone and added me and connected his account to his PlayStation account so we could play and even though when I open the Xbox menu I can see his account in my friends list and he can see my account in the Xbox app, grounded doesn't let us see each other in the in game friends section. In order for us to play together I had to join by opening the Xbox menu and going to my friends tab and selecting their profile and selecting the join game option. The issue here is that we can't use the shared world feature because we don't show up on each other's in game friends list so I can't help him farm resources while he's offline so he can focus more on the story. Anybody else discover a fix for this problem yet? Please let me know. It's been a month since the last comment on this thread, I wish that the devs would have fixed it by now. adamrossmusic
Experiencing the same with my son. He is playing on ps4 - me on ps5. We signed in with our own microsoft live account, added each other as friends but NON of us are showing up for our friends list. We have a shared game going on but can't join, "There was a problem joining the game" error it gives us despite i can see that he is live hosted on ps4 - because it is a shared world. Man we just spent 6 hours to try every possible permutations, way to go to spend your Saturday.....
