Trail markers not showing again

So the only thing I could find on this issue was a bug report/fix in 2021. No matter what I do I can't get my map markers to reappear. In playing on PC. I was just walking around and noticed I was very lost because I suddenly had no markers. Does anyone know of a quick fix? Or am I going blind for the rest of my game? I thiiiink it happened right after the purple fire in the base of the Maple tree scene finished.

Configure browser push notifications
Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
  3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
