kkey86
So with the Holliday update that was just released. An increase to the distance you could stand for the use of chests for crafting and depositing came into play. Love it…. However it brought out one issue I’m not fond of. My world has spare tool available and stored away in a couple chests for any of my friends who want to hop on. That being said I made sure to place those chests farther away from the crafting area so I can get all those bug parts put away quickly with out constantly playing hide and seek with my own tools till I find which chest it ended up in or running off only to realize my mint mace is no longer in my inventory and im now worried I hucked it at some point…. Now that we got a bigger radius it means I’m gonna have to move the chests even farther away from the crafting area (for now I hope). So moving on if possible please add either an inventory lock feature or an adjustment to hot deposit. -lock gear in the inventory so it’s not lost so easily By way of hot deposit. This could be tied into the hot pouch expansion or under the “actions” drop down menu for the individual tool or -change to hot deposit to only handle materials excluding tools/gear. Maybe add a separate hot deposit for the tools
KnightX13
I like the idea of having crafted items not being hot deposited (and aligns with how they also now stay in inventory on death whereas materials drop with the back pack). However you should be able to set a chest to allow hot deposit or not (thought this was added in a previous patch). Better option would be able to "lock" items in your backpack. Manuela
Hm, I just placed all the gear or spare tools onto wall mounts instead of putting it into chests - looks nicer anyway. Just mentioning that as an alternative. (Maybe there's a mod? I don't know if the qol or storage can do that but I don't think so. Maybe ask in the grounded modding discord?) kkey86
I do use armor and tool displays but there’s more friends that cycle thru the gaming session that I’d need a grand hallway or tower dedicated of just tools and it would be cruel of me to make each player run up and down grabbing one tool at a time. And I can’t do mods cuz in a truck driver so I don’t have the luxury of space for a good gaming set up beyond console and tv. i do like the idea knight mentioned of locking hot deposit from the chest side of it.
kkey86
Last few times I was online I didn’t see the option to stop hot deposit from the chest so I believe it was not applied off course I could be wrong. I’ll have to check one more time by when I’m done running tonight
kkey86
Ok back did check the chests. It’s got a toggle for hot deposit so my request is mostly pointless… tho would still like there to be a separation of Matts vs tools

Sorry, I thought you meant additionally. maybe place 1 material or tool into a storage and turn off hot deposit? so the rest stays in your inventory? (truck like in those cool big trucks, I saw in the US? they looked huge! - drive safetly!)
