VON VORTEX
So me and my friends play via xbox, and in the last week, I notice am crashing out the game a lot more from our shared world game. Didn't pay to much attention to it at first, as I thought was a WiFi connection issue and so would just reset WiFi, game and continue. But Friday gone (21st Oct) just before the update it got really bad. I kept crashing out whilst we tried to defeat the assistant manager. And where we could have won in our second attempt took twenty attempts to complete. Since then it's being happening even more as we try to return to the upper yard for resources and bug kills. My friend whose hosting noted the game freezes seconds before am kicked out to the main menu. We have tried to personally find the problem. By fixing our base stairs which at one point was supporting 600 stuff, still crash out. Test returning to normal multiplayer instead of shard World, still crash out. Tried swapping the host to me, they crashed out. Switch off natural explorer as we heard bad reviews about the latest update to that, still crash out. Wondering if something in one of the updates is causing this? As we are getting annoyed that we cannot play along together with out someone crashing out 20 time's during an hours play. As the whole point of us getting the game was for the team play feature. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is it just xbox, or are people on pc also experience the same thing? Granted we did build a tree base this time instead a baseball base, but we didn't start experience issues till after the 1.0.3 update
VON VORTEX
https://www.xbox.com/play/media/28W4MNPT Tried again today with my friend. Spent part of our gameplay dropping out every few minutes. It turnt what should have been a quick shed raid into a 3 hour session. Realised part way that xbox has a last few minutes record system. So have recorded and linked one of the drop outs to show what it looks like
Daniel Somraty
Started having a issue today where the "joiner" of a multiplayer will have a high PING issue and drop out of game in about 15-30Sec.. Bought game about 3 days ago as Husband\Wife multiplayer game. worked fine up to today 10/23.. If we switch out "who" host and joins the person that joins will drop guaranteed in about 30secs and will get HIGH ping warning. Hope there is a solution for this as the game looks super great but will only play if multiplayer works. set up is on high-end PCs through Steam. i know the issue isn't on my end as everything else works in all other games and programs. 15-30Ping on the IP. Tad surprised this isn't a LAN option improved stability on such a 'In-depth' game. i can only guess something on 1.04 patch may have done something (only a guess) Please help..
GraveChalk8888
Same issue on pc, got high ping most of the day in multiplayer. Then stuttering and teleporting, then finally crashing. Now it wont even let me get on at all. Goes to the saved world screen and in spin animation and bam!, crashes. Can't even play the game. Ive spent alot of time on this game but when you rush this is what happens. Was like this with Fallout when it came out. Get it together Obsidian or youre going to lose alot of people to a very fun game.
Daniel Somraty
Small update on my MP drop issue \ High ping. We live in a rural area. We have 2 DSL lines: Line 1 has 5.5Mg dl'd \ .4Mg Up'ld with a BAU ping of ~30 and a jitter of 0. Line 2 has 3.5Mg dl'd \ .4Mg Up'ld with a BAU ping of ~15 and a jitter of 0. My everyday setup for the 2 PCs in the house connects to line 1; while line 2 feeds to other out buildings. We have no issues playing WoW(~70ping), and\or other handful of online MP games. We aren't big online gamers so don't do the 'off the chain' SPEC games. With our BAU setup the game worked perfect W\o any issues or high ping warranting from 10/17-10/23, then on 10/23 started dropping the joiner with in 15-secs. Only change on 10/23 was the DL'd of the latest 1.04 patch, and we started to build a small base at the starting suitcase area. My update: Last night i moved 1 PC to line 2 for a test.. (Now PC 1 is on line 1 and PC2 is on line 2). Semi- success!!!! Joiner was able to stay in the session. (yeaaaa). Joiner still received a High Ping warning about every 10-mins or so and then went away after 15secs or so. Didn't see any stability issues when the warning popped. Was able to play for about 3hrs w\o a drop. Rubber banded a tad from time to time (expected) Guessing my issue stems around the drag on the IP speed (Maybe) and\or something via the 1.04 patch. Hope this helps someone having same issue and maybe a idea to try. IF OB reads this, PLEASE add a dedicated LAN solution and enable households w\o fiber to play in a MP games on a local LAN.
