I played alone on our shared world for about 2 hours earlier. I unlocked and scanned the ash cement, then made a big bridge that took over an hour and a half to make. I superquit and it SAID it was going to make a save before I exited. Not only did it not make a save then, when I loaded it didn't even load one of the dozen auto saves it had made during my time. Instead, it reset to just before I took the ash cement out of the oven.

Are you SURE this game is ready to leave early access? Because shared worlds certainly have been finicky and you don't offer any way to load other saves if your game screws up.

My world has reverted mutiple times including the most recent of 3 hours ago even though I was save scrumming. I lost all my saves I'm down to one and I'm worried it will be deleted too. I'm worried I'll lose everything. Another weird issue is that sometimes when I load a save it will be my character waking up in the box at the beginning

Yeah, Multiplayer is broken. High ping, constant disconnects, inability to join unless the host reboots/reloads.  The shared worlds sounds good in theory. But is broken in reality. You can't save a backup. If they mess it up, as they have done multiple times now, you are the one that looses out. Hours if not days and weeks of progress all lost.  No way to get it back.

This game really needs a private dedicated server option.  Host your own games, make backups of your world & saves and play as you like.

-Hello

I apologize for the frustration that losing progress in your shared worlds has caused. If you haven't already, I recommend submitting a support ticket, so we can investigate this issue.

Please include the following information:

1. Platform (Xbox Console, PC Game Pass, PC Steam).
2. Multiplayer or Single Player Game (if multiplayer, can you tell us how many players in total in the game, and their platforms if known)
3. Difficulty level
4. Description of issue.
5. Last thing you did in the game before the issue occurred, if applicable.

Thanks

So I have a shared world with a friend and for some reason my version was put back to late December instead of mid January when we last played. does anybody know how I can resolve this? If it helps I'm not the owner btw

The only time I had this issue was during a server maintenance thing and I reverted backwards 12 days (as a guest NOT the host)

BUT strangely, I saw 10 saves in my girlfriends shared world which is normally impossible in a multiplayer world, so I used one of the last saves to make a STANDARD copy then reshared this copied world and my progress was restored. It was only myself that reverted as a guest and not my girlfriend as host.

I assume that you guys only have ONE copy (being multiplayer) but it might be worth BOTH the host and guest making a standard copy of the shared world and comparing the time/days passed in each copied world. Then you could try resharing one of these copies if you find that one of the copies offers a fix. Its a far fetched idea until a hard coded fix arrives...best of luck though!!
