I think it would be great if you added preserving cooked meat to the game using salt shards. People have used this for ages in real life, so I think it should be added to the game. 

salted meat would be good. everyone also wants some kind of refrigeration too.

I thought that was what the jerky stand was for. Everlasting meat (dried rather than salted) with the trade off that you get thirsty from it. Did I learn that wrong?

And, yeah, a refrigerator that you refresh with ice from a soda on the table would be kinda cool
