I think it would be really cool to have silk worms in the game as an alternative to getting silk rope. The silk worms could be passive up in the hedge that you could tame and build a silk farm. 

Wrong country and they need a special type of leaf.  Stick with moth and cocoons.

If you see light at the end of the tunnel get out of the road!
