Once I open the game it goes to load then just becomes a black screen. Where I cannot press to log in or anything other than escape. I've reinstalled the game but still doesn't fix the issue. I'm trying to launch the game from Steam which I have no problems with and I've never had this happen on grounded before.

I'm sorry to hear that you've run into this issue while trying to play Grounded. If you haven't already, I recommend submitting a support ticket where we can work with you one on one to try and resolve this issue. 

https://support.obsidian.net/contact and include the following information:

1. Platform (Xbox Console, PC Game Pass, PC Steam).
2. Multiplayer or Single Player Game (if multiplayer, can you tell us how many players in total in the game, and their platforms if known)
3. Description of issue.
4. Last thing you did in the game before the issue occurred, if applicable.

I have this EXACT same issue..

Tried all of your advices, but still have the same problem. I also contacted the support, which couldnt help me yet..

Does it have something to do with the Microsoft Edge (plugin) that is used for that login screen?

Mine is up to date.. then i tried to uninstall it, still doesnt work.

You got any further ides beside the obvious ones (driver updates, java update, restart PC, re-install the game, logout/login in xbox live app etc)??

Started a new game. Had a froend login into old shared game and joined his it worked great! ryguynibs Thank you
