My idea is that this mutation would let players consume items normally harmful or inedible. For example, eating spoiled or raw food would harm the player significantly less. You could also eat certain bug parts or plant materials for a quick snack. Of course, something like an acid gland would stay inedible, but ant parts or spider chunks could be eaten.
