Firstly, incredible game. I've enjoyed the game since day 1 and can't wait to play it when the story is finally released. My suggestion is essentially a two part thing that I know will take a lot of time and resources to accomplish, but will overall assist the game in continuing to be fun and relevant. I'm thinking that if the game had a dedicated survival game mode where the environment was randomly generated (much like other sandbox games), it would keep the game fresh for players who have spent countless hours in game. Currently when you start a new game, locations and resources are found in exactly the same spot everytime. This is fine when attempting to give all players the same great experience, but for those that have already played through everything to do in this early access multiple times, you can quickly see how this game will eventually become stale. Since we are getting monthly updates most players will play when the new update releases and then won't touch the game again until the following update hits. Having an experience in the game that changes everytime you start a new one I think is crucial to keeping this game relevant.

It would be great to see randomly generated environments, but that would take far more development time as well as balancing/playtesting to make sure it all works as intended. I highly doubt we'll see this implemented on a large scale.

I've suggested elsewhere (the dungeons thread) that we get mini-areas that are randomly generated that could be like daily quests and be thematically tied to the biome they are in (sandcastle in the sandbox, knothole in the tree, underwater cave in the pond, maybe an "industrial maze" if we ever get an air conditioner added to the backyard, etc.). But, again, this will take a lot more effort to develop than static things you can test a few times and move on.
