so I've spent many hours building as I'm sure many of you has as well.  Well in doing so I've noticed a lot of the time stuff like grass planks, clover leaves and wood steams just fall trough the dirt, rocks or stepping stones like there is no structure to the map itself at all. I've now gotten in the habit of only setting stuff down on a structure I've built because of 2 reasons. 1. I dont want to lose the resources I'm trying to collect. And 2. And for me I think the most important reason. Where does it go? Is it forever falling like when you or a backpack load in and do the free fall bug under the map? And if so is my save file trying to remember where all this stuff is and adding to my already massive game file?  For example why my game takes more the 20 minutes to load already. Load time is not an issue for me. I know I've done it to myself by building so much. 

Now I know this is still VERY early in the Alpha stages of this game and bugs need to get fixed.  

But this is waying on my little survivors mind hard 

I'm curious to I had an orb weaver attack me as well in the water and it disappeared, I think it went through the map and since my spiders are spawning normally I can't tell if its respawned or not.
