Yet another glitch - can't collect gnat parts

Had to restart again after the clock stopped working and the lab door is locked. Now this time, I can't collect gnat parts to craft gear. I see many are having the clock time stopping issue, but haven't found much on here for the collecting parts issue. 

I know this is early access/pre-release, but major bugs like this should have been weeded out before any release. By the time these issues get fixed, most will have given up in disgust and not come back to the game. And won't give good reviews, which hurts Obsidian in the end.  Glad I'm playing on the Xbox Game pass for PC and didn't pay full price for this or I would be raising Cain with the seller.
