New player friend join the game and now the lab is now locked

My friends and I have a similar issue. we completed the quest from the robot. when going back to turn in the quests the door was locked and we cannot turn them in or even enter the lab. please fix the game. it is a fun game but many things broken.

I have the same problem. My friend joined the game and the lab door is locked and the button on the Mysterious Machine is flashing again like I need to do it over again which would not be a problem, but it will not let us push the button again so now we cannot progress in the game.
