Trippy86 Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Hi I've been trying to play the outer worlds through Xbox game pass on PC but it keeps randomly quitting to the desktop lasting anything from 10 - 60 minutes I've tried the latest gfx drivers including some older ones, tried limiting the FPS to 60 and reinstalling the game but none have helped I have no issues running other games on Steam or gears 5 on Xbox game pass. Anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this? Trippy86 Posted June 7, 2020 Author Posted June 7, 2020 Anyone have ideas? Driving me insane and it's unplayable
cstanick Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Hey Trippy86! I'm sorry to hear about this issue you're having with The Outer Worlds on PC. Have you tried looking at the Windows Event Viewer after the game crashes? If you haven't, can you please do so? After you look at that information, I recommend turning down all the visual settings to their lowest and seeing how the game performs then. Please let me know if that prevents the crashes, or nothing changes at all. I hope you've been able to stay safe and healthy out there. Thanks and have a good day.
Trippy86 Posted June 13, 2020 Author Posted June 13, 2020 Where specifically in event player should I look? Never used it before It crashed again for me on lowest gfx settings
Trippy86 Posted June 21, 2020 Author Posted June 21, 2020 I'm unfortunately no closer to resolving this problem
cstanick Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 Once the game crashes, open up the Event Viewer and open the drop-down menu for Windows Logs. Next, select Application, and it will generate a list to the right. Sort the list by most recent and see if there is a Warning or Error that matches up with the time you played the game. Highlight that line item, and it will display some info below. Click on the Details tab and post that information. I apologize it took a while to get back to you, but I hope this information will help.
