I was exploring randomly and came across Heritage Hill. I paid off the guards and then explored a bit. I let the prisoners go. Now I see I have a quest called "Undying Heritage" that's telling me to go talk to the guards at Heritage Hill. They won't talk to me since I already paid them off and I can just walk past them.

Will I be unable to continue with the main quest? Is my game hopelessly lost now? The quest stays at "Enter the Tower at Heritage Hill" even though I've been in the Tower and can go back to the Tower. Is there some way to manually advance it? Shouldn't there be a dialog option when I'm asked to go free the prisoners that says "They've already been freed?" Thanks.

have you tried going all the way to top  again and talking to npc. i believe there is npc up the to advance the quest
