Personal feelings on skills: Tech is a little unbalanced. And Defense and Melee should be merged.

Everything in Tech is just so universally useful, that it kind of stands out among the skill sets. Medical lets you heal for more, Engineering both keeps your gear repaired and lets you improve the value of sell items, and Science both increases elemental damage and lets you upgrade weapons overall. Not only that, but Tinkering is only really viable with full Science investment. It's way too costly otherwise.

Also, Defense and Melee being split makes melee builds much more points heavy than any other weapon playstyles. Dodge is only really worth use for Ranged weapon builds up to 60. Even then, it's hardly required to get the most out of your weapons. But to max out melee's potential, you have to heavily invest in 4 skills, leaving you very few spare points for utility skills. Ranged builds only need to max their weapon type and science to fully realize their builds, leaving plenty of points for other things.
