CONSTANT RANDOM CRASHES -- especially an Neketaka

Hello Obsidian. I am getting constant random crashes. They occur 100% of the time. They make the game completely unplayable.

I am playing with the lowest video quality, but it doesn't help.

My PC specs are as follows:
  • Intel-core i5 7200 CPU, 2.5 Ghz
  • 8gb memory
  • 256 Gb SSD
  • Windows 10 x64
  • Intel HD Graphics 620

Hello, i'm not an Obsidian guy, but i think i can help.

Open your error.log (each of them). See?
mono.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)

Access Violation (0xc0000005) - it's the kind of error, when program (or program .dll component) couldn't read or write information into (or from) your memory. In your case this program component is mono.dll

Look at your memory stats:
8109 MB physical memory [598 MB free]. - Your RAM
8109 MB paging file [16 MB free]. - Your Paging file
Write to location 08011000 caused an access violation. - Game can't write information to your system's memory.

So it obviously not enough memory for Deadfire. You must close some unused applications OR adjust your Paging file size to 12 or 16 GB.

I've encountered exact the same problem (with mono.dll), with 16 GB RAM onboard and 2 GB Paging file size (because i was sure this is enough). When i adjusted my Paging file size, all crashes is gone.

P.S. Avgurkov... Another russian spy? :ninja:

Hi, i just subscribe to say THANK YOU.

I was having a lot of crashes when i entered a new area and now the problem is all gone. I was afraid because i found on the internet a lot of topics with people who had random crashes and no solution offered. Best solution for memory problem.
