You can turn it off under difficulty settings.  Granted, it will not show you creatures you already know, but then you can jut look them up in your bestiary.

Bonus: You become reliant on bestiary and characters in-combat comment

 

Disadvantage. None, RP-wise. Mechanically you lose the info about percentage to hit. But that was "cheating" anyways, sooo ... ;-)

I already knew about this it seems that they changed the way it works.In poe 1 even if you have show relative defences enabled you get question marks when 1 time encountering creature.
