This journal entry only makes sense if Aloth became the leader of the Leaden Key in the first game.
In my current playthrough, however—which is whence the screenshot is—he set out to destroy the Leaden Key instead. This was correctly picked up by his dialog, as well as by the fact that he was given the Key Breaker scepter. His journal entry, however, appears to be incorrect.
This was with a custom-created backstory, rather than with an imported save (in case that made a difference.)
