Pus-in-Boots Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 Hello there! In PoE 1 Resolve was the stat king regarding dialogue options. How is it in PoE 2? Are stats relevant still or only skills are important now? If so, which passive skill is the most frequently used?
guildwriter Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 Resolve is much less critical now for dialogue options compared to PoE1 though I wouldn't say it's useless. It's just more spread out. Skills, stats, even abilities can be used now to resolve situations. There are certain skills which open more options than others. Diplomacy, Intimidate, or Bluff are the most useful conversation skills. For me Athletics is one of the ones that stand out as you tend to get wounds or even die for failing some checks. Use this site to see the distribution of skill checks and how high or low they go. It's down right now but looking at the github I think the author made a change that broke something. 3
AramJese Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 Deflection and will defenses are highly affected by resolve on Deadfire now. resolve is not used for scripted interactions that much in this game, you use your skills more than before.
