I'm on the step for 10 kills with empowered attacks. I somehow have managed to get 3 with MPPB spell, but so far ive not been able to get anymore with anything. I've used empowered knockdown to kill also and it doesnt register. Any hope for this?

Nevermind. Apparently that weapon has to be not only equipped but also selected for the empower attack to register. Even if using a spell

What do you mean? You had it in the inactive weapon slot and used another weapon while trying to level it up?
