I'm sorry the quest didn't fail for you and thank you for bringing this to our attention.  I'm going to have the team take a look at fixing this issue and see if there is something they can do about the save file as well.  If you discover anything about this in the meantime, please let me know so I can inform the dev team.

Configure browser push notifications
Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
  3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
