If our experience with the first Pillars of Eternity is any indication, those items will probably not be made available otherwise (with perhaps an exception as a reward to returning backers as was the case with Gaun’s Pledge? If and when a third game is crowdfunded, that is.) I understand your sentiment as I’ve felt the same about other games in the past.
