I'll have our developers look into the missing references to crew members during the Ukaizo Fleet battle SI.

Seems to be a case of doing the ship-to-ship combat.

 

Joined the Huana, and fled, it worked fine (and I even got an unique +15 morale on the dragon skipped out otherwise).

Now I join the Valian and do the ship-to-ship combat sections and once again have the missing party member sections.
