Akin to this issue (which by the way still exists in 2.0) but not quite the same.

 

Our friend Pallegina will help us illustrate.

 

This is what Pallegina looks like when she's only wearing a cloak:

Looks about right? It does, but here's what happens when she wears a plate armor:

The plate's pauldrons are quite a bit taller than her shoulders, and the cloak is supposed to rest on top of the pauldrons, not where Pallegina's shoulders would normally be.

 

Male humans have the same issue, except it is a lot less pronounced—to the point that you'll notice if you specifically look for it.

 

On female models, as shown above, it is quite outstanding and makes one want to disable the cloak's visuals. (As is the case for the female aumaua model, which is problematic both with and without armor.)
