Beast of Winter is...(spoilers)

An impressive DLC imho.

 

First off, the dialogue has made me chuckle. Secondly, the flashbacks are a welcome surprise, providing a lot context to the history we keep hearing about. Thirdly, the atmosphere is darker, a throwback to POE1. Vatnir is cool too.

 

Plus it's acceptably challenging, even for a lvl 20 party (not super breezy, not too hard).

 

My major gripe is having to kill those Snow Bears, including Papa Bear, and orphaning their cub . Papa Bear looked so cute sitting there eating. Can someone hack the console to get him as a pet (jk)?

 

If this is the quality we can look forward to in future DLCs, I'm excited. It shows that Obsidian does their best work with focused narratives.
