How to build a Druid(shifter)/ Monk?

I have never played a monk before and this looks like a really good synergy doing a shifter/ monk to take advantage of all the monk abilities while spirit shifted. 

Has anyone done this before and what was the best way to do it? Do all the monks unarmed abilities work when spirit shifted? 

What is the best monk subclass to use?

And how do the wildstrikes work when you are shifted? does the extra wildstrike damage apply to the damage done from the hands of shifted form?
