Investigation into level files

Featured Replies

This was interesting...

I extracted all the UUIDs out of all the level files.

The reason I did this is that it allows you to identify a level file as being a specific location (they also have the AR_XXXXXXX stuff in them) - that's next

What I am aiming to do is find the locations that the level files refer to and their contents

For example Sanza only occurs in level20, "Sanza's Map Emporium" exists in levels 2, 19 and 20 (Netakha, Queens Berth and his shop) as his shop exists in all three.

Running thru this I see his shop described, included and pre-loaded in various levels

As most levels have unique characters it should be pretty easy to link any character to it's location

The same goes for items (not processed that one yet)

My current build has been going on for "ages" but will pump out good info.

And - it's finished...

44,200 UUIDs found!

Now I have to match them to their characters / items (minus the orphans)

OK Fair warning has been applied

I'm gonna move the domain to https://perspak.com early Feb but will keep all content

There are reasons behind this move which basically boil down to unifying my release schedule

My friends are welcome to play (I'll set you up your own areas if you desire them)

Please note that this process is messy so may take a few weeks
