Something i havent seen mentioned about new patch

You can now switch from POTD to veteran without creating a new game or using a mod. You can also switch expert mode on/off and adjust lvl scaling on existing games. This is amazing! I like a good challenge but not to the point i need to reload every fight or pause every 0.5 seconds. For me the pre patch POTD was challanging enough (at lvl 8 at least). Now i can start in veteran mode and if eventually i find the game is a cakewalk, i can switch to POTD. In POE1 i had to use a mod to do that. Thank you Obsidian!

Wow, I didn’t know that. I like playing at lower difficulty at the beginning, so I can gather items or companions (and level up a bit), then ramp up difficulty to max. Basically keep it lower to solo easily until reaching the capital since that opens up all kinds of looting possibilities and the (non-annoying) companions.

 

Eder is cool, but I pushed him into the pit of doom in POE1, so I don’t have him available to help tank the first island.

Great to hear! I just wondered if POTD wasn't a bit much for me...

 

EDIT: Seems you can't change upwards from veteran to POTD! Are you sure it works both ways?

 

I can confirm the other options are no longer greyed out...
