ok i had that quest for the followers of eothas on the boat wth eders girlsfriends son and the moment i arrived at the ship i got attacked by another random ship. that triggered both figths at the same time and the game completely broke.

it had chosen the random fight for the next map, after a really long loading time and after the fight was over, i got back to the world map and everything was grey, the quest ship was gone, i couldnt move, i couldnt save, i couldnt do ****. 

had to restart and in the end delete all those bugged saves and restart from another save.
