Is rogue/chanter any good and what subclasses if so?

If you pick the weakening chant and combine it with Persistent Distraction you can permanently unlock Deathblows (as a melee char).

 

Also Streetfighter's Heating Up (getting flanked = 50% recovery time) reduces invocations' recovery.

 

Rogues might crit quite well, and with a Skald you can cast Killers Froze Stiff pretty often - which leads to more crits.

 

There are some synergies...
