This still isn't as bad as waiting for the 1.10 patch for Diablo 2. And Blizzard is supposed to have great tech support. Ever since that Obsidian/LucasArts could say soon and release it 6 months later and I would still be happy. At least we're getting feedback(however slim and infrequent) that the patch is coming. For that 1.10 patch it was almost a year just to get a beta patch that they hoped would get us to shut up, which it didn't cause then we couldn't play online since their servers were still running 1.09 So everyone take a few deep breaths and relax. Soon is a relative term so just keep looking for it to come out before christmas of this year.

For those with laptops I hope a solution can be found but if you have a desktop you should really consider getting an actual 3daccelerator card, preferably with an ATI or NVIDIA gpu. They really would be much happier.

Which bug is that? I have an Ati x300 128meg card and the only "problem" I have is low fps (20-25). Game still looks beautiful though. Only other problem I have is the known memory leak that causes CTD's and I don't have that very often anymore after upgrading my video drivers to the 5.2 cat.

Planet Order: Peragus->Telos->Dantooine->Nar Shaddaa->Dxun/Onderon->Korriban->Onderon(complete) I was able to land on Dantooine and exit the Hawk and make it to the meeting with the Jedi Masters. I still have the Redemption Quest in my Journal as incomplete. Not sure what this means for those effected by this bug. Difference between me and most people is I got the mission from the Administrator and most(all?) the people effected get the quest from the guy in the landing area.

If this patch opens support for more video chipsets, I would be very surprised. I doubt they will because it most likely would envolve a code rewrite and no one wants to download a patch that large. Do the smart thing and upgrade to a real video card or a better laptop.

I also don't recall seeing anywhere on the package or EUL Agreement about obsidians forums being included in the deal. Heck I didn't even know Obsidian had forums until I came to their site. As long as this first patch comes out I'll be happy with or without these forums. "Yes the world will end but not tomorrow, get over it."

Well based on the title for the thread, He's using an unsupported graphics chipset. That there is his problem in a nut shell. And before someone mentions that people with supported chipset graphics cards suffer from the same problems, it doesn't matter. He should not complain if he doesn't have the proper hardware.

I just killed Sasquish, or what ever his name is, and all the Exchange goons go hostile with me. Funny thing is I am pretty sure that I got light side points when I confronted him.

New update: This may not be related to the Redemption Quest or it may be how you get it. On my lightside game I am currently playing, I got the quest from the Administrator in Khoonda, not the guy in the landing bay. I've only done Peragus, Telos, Dantooine, and just started Narshadda. After landing at Nar Shadda I exited the Hawk, did the opening spiel, reboarded the Hawk and was able to land at Dantooine, exit the ship, get to the Enclave Courtyard and back to the Hawk. Will update again after I complete a few more planets. Edit: I just finished Nar Shaddaa and am on my way to Dxun/Onderon. Planet Order: Peragus->Telos->Dantooine->Nar Shaddaa->Dxun/Onderon.

That may be, but the point still stands that per Lucasarts, they are the ones to provide technical support, at least with NA and appearantly the UK as well.

I've had this happen with and without Force speed on. I find that most of the time it happens is when I skirt the door frame. Not as annoying as hitting the invisible wall in the center of an open door way. Character just runs in place until you back up. Don't know about Pazzack and I haven't experienced the other Force Speed bug you mentioned, and most likely wont since I got the mod to disable the stomache churning effect

*sigh* It's not a bug, your system simply can't run the game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Got agree with Haitoku here. If your system doesn't meet the min requirements you cannot expect the game to run. Dkunsberg, your video hardware is not listed on the support list, so guess what? If it doesn't work you cannot complain about it cause you got the game knowing that your hardware was not supported.

Don't reenter the Ebon Hawk after You defeat the Red Eclipse. I left the ship started walking across bridge and then Atton started his dialog about the message. You shouldn't have to reenter to trigger it.

If this problem is present when you first start the game then I can only suggest a full uninstall and reinstall of the game. If you want to save your game saves, copy them to a different location on your hard drive then run the uninstall from the program menu. After that navigate to the c:\program files\lucasarts and make sure the KOTOR2 folder is deleted. Then you should be able to reinstall or reboot and reinstall the game.

You mean you can actually "use" this power? I thought it was just the short cut scenes you get every now and then that warn you of danger (around the wall, through the door, ect..) before you actually get to it. Hmm, something new to try.

Okay Its a bust on my end for the moment. My latest save for my light Jedi (where he is already on Nar Shaddaa) did not have Redemption in the journal. I have another save that I might try. Should be on Dantooine before I talked with the protocol droid in the docking area. edit: Well, second bust on my end. Appearantly I overwrote that one and had two saves for the same spot on Nar Shaddaa?? Anyway I have to start that game over since I didn't get the

Ah, I doubt I even triggered that quest in either of my games since I managed both times to Persuade him that the droid was wrong, I think. I get off in about 30 mins so by 10:00 central (little under 2 hours from now) I should be posting wether I can get to dantooine and exit the ship / leave the planet again. Edit- Axonnn: The current thought is that it might be. I plan to test this when I get home in about hour.

Pretty sure it will play the game depending on the rest of your system specs. As for not getting any "BS" I would have to say Maybe. Some current issues don't seem to be affected by the game card. I would advise borrowing the game from a friend and see if it works then go buy the game. Edit- Oh, also make sure you update your drivers first, particularly if you haven't in a while. Edit 2- Also found this at LA's support site Geforce 2/4 MX chipset shows what performance you can expect. Not your milage may very, I have yet to see either of the issues they list for my ATI x300 chipset.

I would have to look. My character is Light side. I also have a second game that I followed the same planet order and just started Dantooine, Dark Side. Where exactly do you start that quest? (planet, person you talk to or item you find) Might help me figure out if I have gotten it or not.
