  1. Dear Obsidian Folks, I know there are other threads, but since Ubisoft and you refuse to give a complete official statement I don't see a reason to reduce the amount of threads. I only have 2 1/2 questions which I, at least I think so, deserve to be answered: 1. Is this statement of reddit (by a user named walgiz) the truth? It seems to be the most accurate one, considering all different statements of people, but still there is no official confirmation: "I’m the Associate Producer on the game for Ubisoft. We did make a separate version just for Germany/Austria. There’s actually 5 versions: North/South America, Europe, Germany, Australia, and Russia. Only the North/South American one is completely uncensored on every platform. The Australian one is censored on all platforms, the European and Russian ones are censored on console only, and the German one is censored on console for anal probing etc as shown in this screen shot, and censored on both console and PC for swastikas, Heil Hitler arm salutes, etc." 1b. (that's the half one) what exactly means "etc". 2. Who in the name of Cartmen had the Idea to tie the Austrian version to the German one? Is this a steam Issue or an Ubisoft or an Obsidian Idea? Traditionally "non-Germany-German-Games" are bundled for Swiss and Austria, since there are different laws (basically in Austria we are allowed to show NS-Symbols, etc. as long as they do not show the NS ideology in a positive light). So until now, german Swiss Version and the versions for Austria where unaffected by german censorship laws (which only prohibits the symbols because Video games are not considered a form of art there, but that's a different battleground). Since Switzerland is not affected and gets the EU Version (which is uncensored for PC at least), why aren't we austrian guys? I know that question is selfish towards German Gamers and especially towards other European console gamers (I have the theory the reason why all European Console versions are affected is because of the DVD Region system, but that's just a wild guess) but I really like to know where to let of my (pun intended) steam off. Is it you, Ubisoft or Steam? I am aware that this is "only" a video game but although I am already 32 years old I can't hide the truth that all of this.. simply pisses me off somehow. BR Martin aka Koboldwichtel PS: as you guessed English is not my native language so I apologize in advance for spelling mistakes.
