I am having the same issue; all recruitment around Hiravias is screwed up and I can't load the second floor of Brighthollow without the game crashing. Tried verifying game cache and am in process of reinstalling; but not hopeful. It seems like buying DLC works for people though? Might just go ahead and buy it.
