I had exactly the same issue with Aloth and Grimoire Slam. I really hoped it would be fixed in 1.4 but it was not Obviously I tried to expell him from the party and add it later but it did not fix the issue : it has been permanent until the end of my playthrough.

Your observation is very interesting. I had exactly the same kind of issue in my last run. The problem is, I was playing an Ironman run so I have not been able to identify exactly when it began. But now you say it, it was approximatively when I finished this quest. The 2 following talents : Gift from the Machine (+1 Might and stamina), The Merciless Hand (+0.3 crit) were still in my list of talents but not in the active effects anymore. It is NOT a display problem only as my might was really computed without the bonuses. I believed at first that is was because of an item equipped with a double click but this problem is supposed to be corrected from patch 1.4 ? I'll try to add screenshots and a link to my Ironman savegame (just before Thaos fight). I hope to get some news really quick because I won't try a TCS solo since I know for sure this won't happen again.
