  1. Trayus academy

    Darth Traya

i made the leap and figured that Kriea was the teacher at Trayus Academy.

Pffft. I was hoping for "the True Sith" or artifacts. <_<

Anyways, So Kreia taught Sion pain and Nihilus hunger, and then was taught betrayal?

In Malachor V, Nihilus, Sion, and Kreia learned huger, pain, and betrayal. Malachor taught pain and huger and betrayal, not Kreia.

  2. I've got a slightly different idea about the exile, vs. what has been discussed  here and in other threads I think. But it hinges upon 1 assumption- For those of you who were able to train the others as Jedi, how high of a level with them did you get? Did you manage to start them earlier on (say you were level 20 or earlier, so by the end of the game they're level 10 or so?)?

The most important fact I need to bolster my hypothesis... . has anyone "force chained" with the other Jedi in your party?

It is clear that the exile has a bond with Kreia but unless we see that force chain with the other Jedi, the "bond" that they share with the exile strikes me as being significantly different from the bond between student/teacher or even the bonds being discussed through the force that the council feared. (And even if the Exile did force chain with the newer Jedi, why would that bond be this "abnormal" one instead of a bond formed between student and master?) And IMO this means that the issue with the exile, the "wound" is something different. I don't think it's about his bonding & "feeding" off of other people's force powers.  It was about his turning off those connections to the Force. His destiny was to follow Revan and Malak like the other Jedi. He turned away from that path. He demonstrated that you can cut yourself off in the force, refusing to have it dominate your destiny. The Jedi Council sees this act as a wound (and as a threat to their teachings and belief system, which is already flawed in some way) and decides to punish you, lest you lead others down this dangerous path.

The exile is charismatic, like Revan was. But this charisma that draws people to follow either the Exile or Revan isn't force driven IMO or remotely like Nihilus' feeding. Many non-force sensitive people chose Darth Revan (Saul Karath and the other ex-Republic military) when Revan returned to conquer the Republic, just as those non-force sensitive people willingly followed the Exile's order to charge into the mine field at Malachor V for "force bonds" to be a factor.

One other thing. Malachor V corrupted Malak and Revan but it did not turn them to the dark side. On Dantooine, we have this from the vision on Dantooine:

    Malak:

"The dark side is strong in this place - I can feel its power. Is this wise? The Ancient Jedi sealed this Archway. If we pass beyond this door, we can never go back. The order will surely banish us. Are the secrets of the Star Forge so valuable? Can its power truly be worth the risk?"

(oddly enough, Revan is wearing the Darth Revan robes supposedly created by the SF and a mask, and Revan appears to walk like a woman)

If they had already "fallen" (or at least Malak) to the Dark Side, there would be no concern about being banished by the Council, or of "going back" or any risks. And it seems to me that this occurred before the Exile returned to the Council (only to be banished).

Revan doesn't walk like a woman.

  3. While I think you're mostly right in your conjecture, this line:

""Hence her interest in the Exile. When she looks at him and sees the 'death of the force', I think quite literally what she means is the death of the forces control over people.""

I don't think is quite accurate.  Kreia does loathe the way the force controls people, but the echo is something different.  Nihilus is similar to the PC, but never referred to as an echo, or causing echo (that I recall anyway) however is referred to as a wound indirectly.  The PC's wound in the force seems to have a unique quality, the fact that he can "drain" people as well is just gravy in the power sense.  The game suggests that as the exile continues his path of destruction, the echo will become louder and louder (note that Visas could hear him across the galaxy).  The game also suggests that if the echo is allowed to "grow" unchecked it would reach of  deafening level, killing alll that can hear the force.  So, the echo isn't the death of the force's control over people, it would be a more literal death of anyone that's force sensitive... no more Jedi or Sith, the echo would kill them.

As an additional plot point regarding "the enemy", we do hear from Kreia that maybe true Sith teachings are beyond the outer rim, but I thought Atris's comment was more interesting.  If , instead of killing her, you leave her to the Sith Holocrons, she comments about why the teachings on Malachor were allowed to survive if they only create wounds in the force (thus, teachings that are a danger to all other force users in a way).  The sith Holocrons do some hissing, and she replies, "as a beacon? a beacon for who?"

This suggests that the events of this game, Nihilus's rampage, and the exile's echo may have been the Trayus's academy's manner of contacting someone/something (possible true Sith) beyond the outer rim.  True Sith is a good bet, since the Trayus academy was most likely constructed by the old sith, and it seems unlikely that they would place a beacon to a hereto unknown third party there.

Nihilus was a true Sith. Kreia might be using the Exile has a bait for the true Sith.

  4. Okay, I've played TSL three times. Two of them were LS and one of them DS. I don't know if there's another post like this so just ignore it if there is. Okay, now to my point.

Darth Nihilus. Sure the guy has a cool mask. Cool cloak. The guy's pretty evil but I want to know about his origins.

But who was he? Surely he must have been there during the time of Revan. How come he isn't mentioned at all in K1? During the Visas Marr cutscene, I recognized his true Sith language. Later, I confirmed this from the Sith holocrons in Atris' Academy. If he is a true Sith, then there must be more of them, right? I was later on led to believe Revan went to fight these Sith. Why is it only Nihilus shows up--what happened to the rest of them?

If anyone knows anything, please tell me. I would like to know about how he came about K2.

  5. forgot to add- bashing randomly destroys an item or it may not, for me, i always loose an item it seems   my character has 6 security and when i come across a box that says make skill is too low i slip on some exchange gloves and with the boost im able to open pretty much anything.  In the odd case where you cant a minor frag mine does the trick-and doesn't seem to harm any of the items inside curiously enough.

Yeah, at the begginning of the game, I had 1 Security. I had high attributes so it boosted to 8 or something. I was able to take care of containers until I got Bao-Dur. His Security, Demolitions, Repair, and Computer Use are all above thirty.

  6. There are two paths branching out:

One to Kiph and the other goes to the left. The path to the right, I think, leads to Kiph and Captain Riken (LS). Go back to the beginning and take a left.

Sorry if this didn't help; I had a hard time understanding the question.

  7. No, you don't need to talk to Atton. He'll come to you. Also, tell the Exchange boss in the Refugee Sector to lay off the Refugees. If you kill him, you gain LS (but you have to intimidate him.) Just keep doing sidequests until Atton contacts you.

  8. Please help me I have been attacked by the slavers in the Ebon Hawk.I killed all them then I went and paid the rat guy to put in a bad word with the exchange. What do I do now?Which side quests should I do and how?Am I supposed to enter the Jek Jek Tar?And if so how?Any help would be appreciated thanks

Do some sidequests and Atton will eventually alert you when he recieves a message for the Exchange. Also, make sure you've dealt with the Serrecco and Exchange in the Refugee Sector.

  9. Who said Kreia is a Jedi Master? She's just a master. Just a master. Not a Sith Master either. Until the very end, she's just a neutral teacher who likes to teach you more...subtle techniques.

there is nothing subtle about telling a plague carrier to kill himself.

Kreia will praise you for this act of persuasion.

there is nothing subtle about telling a starving man to piss off.

Kreia will scold you if you help the weak or heal the sick.

so, FROM A LS JEDI PERSPECTIVE,

    Kreia is a terrible teacher.

She doesnt believe in the Jedi Code, and therefore, isnt capable of retraining a LS Jedi.

which is why the game made no sense when I played LS.

but when I played DS, Kreia had nothing but praise for me.

each time I mind tricked a person into doing my own selfish bidding, Kreia was there to praise me and I gained more influence over her.

But it depends on opinion in the end...I thought Kreia was like Palpatine, hiding her DS until the end, which was pretty cool.

  10. I found another bug that may or may not have been posted already.

The first time you go to Nar Shadaa, do NOT talk to the beggar who asks for 5 credits and then wants you to trade information with him.  Just leave him standing there.

After you obtain Mira in your party later on on Nar Shadaa, come back to this beggar with Mira in your party, talk to him then walk into the garage area.  Once you do this, a 2nd Mira will come up to the beggar and say "what did that Jedi want?" etc... like she normally would.  Now walk back outside to the beggar, the 2nd Mira will still be standing there beside him, AND your Mira in your party will ALSO be there standing beside Mira #2.  You can talk to either Mira you want.

Another example of a programming mistake due to the rushed development.

Yeah, its just one of many Nar-Shaddaa glitches. Just ignore. It won't affect your gameplay.

  11. Even if you may know that Kreia is a Sith, you have to assume the character you are playing as doesn't and treats her as a master. And I have to admit, Kreia makes a pretty good master; she teaches you much and increases your maximum Force points.

for a Jedi, Kreia makes a terrible teacher.

Who said Kreia is a Jedi Master? She's just a master. Just a master. Not a Sith Master either. Until the very end, she's just a neutral teacher who likes to teach you more...subtle techniques.
