  1. Well, I paid for the Elite signed edition and I disagree entirely. Not only it lacks a physical copy, that I expected and it's a mainstaple of crowdfunded physical edition (and the main reason I back these editions), but the box came without any sort of padding, resulting in various scratches and bumps. The original PoE box was pretty sturdy, while this one has a paper-thin cover around it, which is the only item that is signed, that got really folded due to the tight packaging, therefore the whole thing looks tatty and distorted. The statue is made of mediocre plastic, very light, of really poor quality, with a very bad looking huge logo stamped on the bottom, the box containing it is all scratched, discolored and has several folds and signs. The object itself has scratches and even a hole under the base. It looks like one of those super cheap chinese gadgets you can buy on sites like Aliexpress, which it probably is.
  2. not sure about "most"... i haven't been using CD/DVD for at least 5 years now o_O I assume you live in the US? In my country, DSL connections are pretty mediocre and downloading something takes ages. Also, even if it weren't the case, I collect games for a hobby and I see no point in collecting items that contain no physical media. I could very well buy gadgets for a few bucks then, and manuals. I like to collect physical media, not overpriced boxes of gadgets. Also, good luck if they ever take down the digital service you rely on. With a physical copy, you can always play the game. I'm still playing my NES games and my old PC DOS games, in fact, while I actually lost about 120$ of content in Indie Royale bundles when Desura bankrupted.
  3. That's how paper works. I mean, you could potentially get a replacement, but paper is always going to warp. Ehr...nope? I've got several game guides from Prima and Bradygames and none of them has wavy pages. And i can also confirm this isn't a particularly defective one. I bought another one from UK (i asked Amazon to return the one i already bought from the US, but since the shipping would be too expensive they just refunded me and left me the book, kudos to them, awesome customer service) and not only it's almost as wavy as the other one, but it also has a page with a folded angle. It's a shame that the guide has a production quality that poor. The mediocre realization don't pay justice to the quality of the contents.
  4. Yeah, Amazon return policy is good, but the problem is that we are talking about something i bought from overseas. I honestly don't want to pay the shipping fees to USA twice. That would kill me. The pages definetely STAYED wavy, in my case. The book is cool and everything, but the pages are all bumpy and i don't like that. If yours had the same thing i'm suspicious about the quality of the paper, maybe it's mediocre? I never saw stuff like this with other Prima guides i own, but those were printed here in Italy. P.S. Yeah, it's a Ducky Shine 4 with browns. I jumped on the mechanical keyboards hype bandwagon, yet i'm not at all that amazed about them like many people does on the internet. I mean, my membrane Logitech G15 was perfectly fine and while the feeling on the Ducky is definetely DIFFERENT, it's not necessarily BETTER. Actually, i think it's alright for gaming, but i liked typing on G15 better. I also do more mistypes on this one.
  5. I just received my strategy guide from Amazon. Is it normal that the pages are all wavy? I mean, it's not a big deal, so if all the copies are like that i won't mind, but if mine is defected maybe i could ask for a replacement. It also should be noted that to preorder it i followed the link in the news when it was announced and therefore preordered from amazon.COM, since there was no mention of the guide being available in Europe as well, therefore i only realized that i could have ordered it from amazon.UK a couple minutes ago, meaning i basically wasted my money in shipping and custom fees, thanks a lot.
  6. Personally, i don't mind waiting, since i have a lot of games i'm currently playing and i wouldn't probably play the game on launch anyway. Also, i'm a little bit worried about the multiple shipping because lately i've had a couple objects that got damaged during the shipment, and double shipment means double risk of damage (or lost packages, which Italy is sadly infamous for). Definetely option 2.
